USG Goal 6. Shorten time to degree completion through programs that allow students to earn college credit while still in high school and by awarding credit for prior learning that is verified by appropriate assessment.

Expand dual enrollment programs

The strategy is to increase Move on When Ready offerings on area high school and SGSC campuses in order to help those students graduate in as little time as possible and to develop a relationship with high schools that will positively affect overall enrollment.

Hiring of a Coordinator for Dual Enrollment; outreach to local high schools; annual conference for high school counselors; DSC faculty visiting high school classes; high school classes visiting DSC; certifying high school teachers to teach courses at their own schools; DSC faculty teaching courses at local high schools; assist students with admissions and financial aid applications.

Participation in dual enrollment or joint enrollment programs for high school students from local counties.
